‎ Paris, chez Edme Pepingue , Charles de Sercy , Guillaume de Luynes , 1655 , in-folio, 45,5 x 32 cm, engraved frontispiece + title with engraved vignette + (116) nn pp of which 26 full page engraved portraits, printed on one side only (complete). Bound in 19th century half leather, marbled boards, binding with some wear, lower corner of upper cover damaged with some loss of board, frontispiece with a paper restoration with a small marginal loss at the engraving, this frontispiece had also a crease during printing, resulting in a blank flaw in the engraving, nothwithstanding these defects still a complete and acceptable copy of a magnificent example of French 17th century portraiture. This is the first edition and in-folio. Several in-8° edition with reduced engravings were published afterwards.‎
