Cadell, 1792 , (1791 for vol.II) , 2 vols in-4°, 31 x 25 cm, uncut copies, (10) nn pp + 540 pp + 22 engraved plates (of which 10 folding) ; (1) nn pp + 259 pp + (13) nn pp (index) + (2) nn pp + 32 pp (appendix) + 22 engraved plates (of which 19 folding), both volumes complete, bound in uniform modern cloth, with title label on spine, uncut copies, stain on halftitle and plate at pp.56 of volume II, small tear at plate pp.63, some thumbing and general dustsoiling, especially at the uncut edges but overall still a very good copy. Complete set of the works of John Howard, which consists of his epoch making book on the prisons and his book on the lazarettos. Both works are here in the last and most complete edition.
