"15. Bruxelles, Foppens Eugène - Henry Frickx, 1752, in-8°, 131 pp, 4 pp (folding engraved plates - facsimiles of letters) , contemporary leather, raised and gilt decorated spine, gilt fillets on front, marbled edges and endpapers. Small damage due to worming at the lower joint, but still a good/fine copy. The author claims that the couplets attributed to J.-B. Rousseau, 1670-1741, against his enemies were written by themselves (Saurin, Lamotte, Malafer). See De le Court 770. . Bound with; Lettre à M. de Li*** sur la suppression des sous-fermiers, et l'avantage de la simplicité dans la perception des Impôts, Paris, 1755, 23 pp. no printer. Rare pamphlet on the French 18th-century taxation system. Only one copy in Worldcat ( BN in Paris). Not in Kress nor Einaudi."
