Description of the history and main holdings of the Mayer van den Bergh Museum in Antwerp. This collection which consists mainly of mediaeval ,14th and 15th century european art was formed at the end of the 19th century and contains some first class objects such as paintings by Brueghel and the famous Flemish breviary which bears his name.
