Bound in three uniform half cloth volumes, frontwrappers preserved. Each issue comprises approx. 30 pp and contains and interesting and well illustrated article on a contemporary Belgian painter or sculptor , this section of the periodical is printed on glossy paper. Other articles deals with French and French Belgian literature but also politics. Contributors include Jules Destrée, André Tardieu, Maurice des Ombiaux, Kullmann-Marchand, Henri Grégoire, José Gers, René Branquart. The title of the periodical refers to the Walloon part of Belgium which is part of the Latin culture. The periodical acts against the growing germanic influence in Belgium which preceded the Nazi invasion in 1940. Especially the information in the biographical articles on contemporary artists is hard to find elswere.
