Henry George Willink was a member of the Alpine Club and vice-president [1899 -1901].He climbed in Switzerland in his early years, but particulary enjoyed walking and sketching in the Lake District and North Wales. His artistic talent was put to good use as illustrator of one of the most delightful of all mountaineering books Badminton Library volume Mountaineering edited by Clinton Dent and with contributions by W.M. Conway, D.W. Freshfield, C.E. Matthews, C. Pilkington, Sir F. Pollock, H.G. Willink and an introduction by Mr Justice Wells.
