‎The Departure from "Poetical Sketches of Scarborough"‎

‎London Rudolph Ackermann 1813 Gravure attrayante, coloriée à la main par Rowlandson. Retirée de "Poetical Sketches of Scarborough" (Esquisses poétiques de Scarborough). Cette uvre se composait à l'origine de vingt et une planches gravées à l'eau-forte par Thomas Rowlandson d'après James Green. L'aquatinte a été ajoutée par John Bluck et Joseph Stadler. Les croquis de Green ont été réalisés en tant que souvenirs et n'étaient pas destinés à la publication, mais ils ont finalement été publiés en raison de la demande populaire. Les couleurs sont belles et nettes, ce qui en fait un exemplaire attrayant. La feuille présente un léger assombrissement de la zone vierge, ainsi qu'une tache de colle et une entaille sur le bord inférieur, là où elle a été retirée du livre original. La gravure mesure 11 cm x 18 cm. La feuille mesure 14,5 cm x 24 cm.‎

‎An attractive, hand coloured engraving by Rowlandson. Removed from "Poetical Sketches of Scarborough." This work originally consisted of twenty-one plates etched by Thomas Rowlandson after James Green. The aquatint was added by John Bluck and Joseph Stadler. The sketches by Green were made as souvenirs and not intended for publication, but were ultimately published due to popular demand. Nice clean colouring making an attractive copy. Sheet has a little darkening to the blank area, and has glue stain and nicking to the bottom edge where removed from the original book. engraving is 11cm x 18cm. sheet is 14.5cm x 24cm. First Edition. .‎
