‎Den Haag / ('s-Gravenhage) Jacob & Isaac Scheltus 1758 Nouvelle édition. 22 pages, dernière page blanche. Avec une gravure sur bois sur la page de titre et une initiale. Nouvelle édition du traité de paix conclu entre les Pays-Bas et Alger le 23 novembre 1757 (ou 12 Rabi' al-awwal de l'année 1171, anniversaire du Prophète). Cette version amendée avait été publiée en 1760 et ajoutait trois articles au traité original (p 21/22). Ce traité met fin à la guerre qui a duré deux ans. La marine néerlandaise avait été réduite par la guerre de succession espagnole. La flotte marchande était donc vulnérable aux attaques des pirates des États barbaresques. Traité délié, sans couverture. Il y a une légère tache d'humidité qui couvre environ un tiers de chaque page. Elle reste cependant parfaitement lisible. Le souverain d'Alger à cette époque était Baba Ali II Pacha. Conforme à FirstSearch / OCLC : 682672044. Il s'agit d'une pièce rare, il n'y a que deux fonds de bibliothèque et un exemplaire à vendre de cette pièce. 195 x 150 mm.‎

‎New issue. 22 pp., final blank. With woodcut device on title page and one initial. New edition of the peace treaty between the Netherlands and Algiers on 23 November 1757 (or 12 Rabi' al-awwal of the year 1171, the Prophet's birthday). This amended version was published in 1760 and added three articles to the original treaty (p 21/22). This treaty brought to a close the war that had been fought for the previous two years. The Dutch navy had been diminished by the Spanish war of succession. This left the merchant fleet vulnerable to attack from the pirates of the Barbary States. A disbound treaty, there are no covers. There is a light damp stain that covers about a third of each page. Still perfectly legible though. Pages have separated from their text block. The ruler of Algiers at this time was Baba Ali II Pacha. Conforms to FirstSearch / OCLC: 682672044.
