‎A nice copy of this scarce first edition. 283 engraved vignettes of the 100 fables on 94 pages of India paper. Original stiff boards, with gilt to a dark brown label on the spine. Rubbing and bumping to the corners, and a slight splitting to the top edge of the spine. Inside, the india paper is a little nicked to some edges, and has some foxing spots, but still an attractive copy.
