‎First Thus (first English translation) of Einführung in die Mechanik, Akustik und Wärmelehre, issued as v. 1 of his Einführung in die Physik. Original dark brown cloth, with gilt titles to spine. A little bumping and rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine, with a very small (2-3mm) closed tear to the head of the spine. No significant marks to the cloth. Foyles bookshop sticker to the inside board. Fractionally darkened to the edges, otherwise in excellent condition. Xii, 338 pages + 13 photographic plates. (complete). A very nice copy. Pohl has been described as the Father of Solid State Physics, 220 by 160mm (8Ÿ by 6Œ inches).‎
