‎Illustrated with twenty six beautiful tipped-in sepia drawings, including frontispiece, by Margaret L. Hooper and Margaret May. Undated, but estimated circa 1883. Original blue-grey paper boards with a brown cloth spine. 240 x 300mm (9œ x 11Ÿ inches). By the same author of "The House of Raby" and "Arbell," etc. Binding extremities are chipped and there is light wear to head of spine. Some damp staining to boards. Internally, tissue guard to frontispiece is crumpled; there is a small repaired tear to one of the front blank pages, moderate foxing to preliminaries, and a small repaired tear to page 87/88.‎
