1976-1995 Nine volumes bound in 13 (of 15). Numerous plates and maps (of which many coloured), uniform cloth with matching full colour dust jackets. Important French contributions to the insect fauna of western Europe by Villiers, Seguy, Paulian, Chopard, Jeannel, and others. Very well illustrated with coloured and plain plates after water-colours of Seguy, Prechac, Moreau, and others. The introduction with chapters on faunal provinces and the evolutionary history of the insects is excellent. The part on Hemiptera includes Thysanoptera. Only the first part of the Lepidoptera and the volume on orthoptères are lacking. Scarce, good clean set.
