Édition illustrée des poèmes de Williams par les 14 lithographies hors texte et en couleurs de l'artiste John Baldessari, dont deux s'étendent sur une double page. Un des 100 exemplaires, réservés aux sociétaires des éditions du Solstice, imprimé sur papier Somerset satin pour Bruno Rohmer, signé à la justification par l'artiste. Les poèmes de Williams ont originalement paru en 1909. Influence déterminante des poètes de la Beat generation et de la Renaissance de San Francisco et plus généralement, de la poésie de la moitié du XXe siècle américain, Williams a pourtant conservé son activité de médecin de profession en parallèle à son activité d'écrivain. Dans une entrevue du magazine américain Surface en 2014, Baldessari raconte que le premier ouvrage qu'il acheta était un recueil de Williams intitulé Red Wheelbarrow et qu'il fut enchanté de l'usage d'objets ordinaires par le poète.
