First German translation of Kingsbury popular work on razors originally published in English in London in 1797. Here Kingsbury describes both the exact characteristics of a high-quality razor and the necessary steps for its proper care. He also instructs the reader in the correct use of razors when shaving themselves. ""Probably the only work on the subject ever written, from the date of the flint-rasps of the Stone Age to that of the latest American contrivance for those who cannot hold a razor"" (Sotheran, Bibliotheca Chemico-mathematica 10149).
