‎The rare first edition of Fuller’s detailed exegesis of the ‘Book of Ruth’ from the Old Testament offers moral and spiritual lessons derived from Ruth's story. Thomas Fuller (1608 – 1661) was an English churchman and historian. He was a prolific author, and one of the first English writers able to live by his pen. He was known for his moderate religious stance. Rooted in his upbringing as the son of an Anglican clergyman, Fuller was deeply influenced by the Church of England's traditions and his education at Cambridge. His theology emphasized practical piety, moral integrity and an aversion to extreme positions within the church and society.‎
