‎Second expanded edition of Linné's account of Swedish plants, being the first full account of the plants growing in Sweden and one of the first examples of the Flora in the modern idiom, here expanded with 56 plants compared to the first edition from 1745. The work helped cement Linnaeus as one of the most influential figures in the history of biology and botany. Linné struggled with the enormous undertaking of cataloging all of the world’s plant and animal species and giving each its correct place in the system.
