A very nice set of the first edition of this fabricated narrative detailing a voyage across Africa, Asia, and the Americas. It describes the exploits of an English sailor named Robert Lade, driven by the pursuit of profit and adventure. Adding to its authenticity are maps by esteemed cartographer Bellin, assorted lists and tables such as the Hudson Bay beaver pelt exchange rate, a glossary of indigenous terms, and detailed geographical coordinates of notable locations along the American west coast.
