Light wear to extremities, some scratches to boards and some of the gilt ornamentation to spine worn off. Lower compartment on spine of vol. 1 with repair. Top of title-page in vol. 1 with annotations in contemporary hand and small part of upper outer corner on title-page cut out, far from affecting text. A few leaves with contemporary marginal annotations, but an overall nice, clean and widemargined copy.
