First edition (of the first text-volume) of this scarce work by French engineer Ainé of water related constructions, and all sort of waterworks, construction of Canals, harbours, bridges, pump-houses etc. in Italy and France. Ainé was the French Chief Engineer of Roads and Bridges, member-professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and privately did extensive research on the arts of antiquity and their emigration from the East.
