The De Crignis family were merchants in this small city, dealing with spices, iron, and fabrics. From ""Königlich Bayersches Intelligenz-Blatt für den Ober-Donau-Kreis 1833"" it is evident that Martin De Crignis was appointed Major and Commander of the Batallion of Neuburg.
