‎Scarce first edition by the ""father of colloid chemistry"". Althougt stated to be ""Second Edition"", no earlier edition is known, and the wording of the Preface (which is dated Febr. 1829) certainly suggest that this is the first edition.""In the present work he claims to have greatly improved on the ""Chemical Catechism"" of Samuel Parkes by arranging the subject in a more logical order abd introducing sections on plant and animal chemistry, which were omitted by Parkes.
