Reference : 49259
First printing of this important paper containing the first appearance of the Landau-Peierls wave function. ""Landau and Peierls argued that field measurements could not be performed unambiguously and hence that current quantum electrodynamics was inconsistent. The Landau-Peierls criticism caused concern until 1933, when Bohr and Rosenfeld showed that the consequences of quantrum electrodynamics were consistent with the best possible measurements of electromagnetic field quantities.
