The exceedingly scarce first edition of Tarski's classic paper on logic and methodology of Deductive Sciences, published in Polish in Poland only three years after his seminal publication ""Pojecie Prawdy w Jezykach Nauk Dedukcyjnych"" (Polish). [The Concept of Truth in Formalized Languages]. We are not aware of any copies in this first edition available in any library. His high school and undergraduate teaching on axiomatics and logic culminated in this short paper, first published in Polish, then German and finally in 1941 English. The paper is divided into two principal parts, the first being an introduction to the symbolic treatment of formal logic concluding with a section on the deductive method. The second part, an application of material in the first to the construction of a deductive system for the arithmetic of real numbers.
