In-8 de XXIV-394p. et 10p. pour le catalogue des éditeurs, pleine percaline verte d'éditeur, titre doré au dos, petite scène nordique dorée au centre du premier plat. Petit accroc à la toile sur le premier mors (sans manque), gardes changées, rarissimes rousseurs. Nom de propriétaire au recto du front.
Illustré d'une carte dépliante (folding map) et de 8 planches hors-texte (8 wood engraving). Un récit vivant d'une expédition à travers le Canada, à travers le Yellow head Pass dans les montagnes Rocheuses du nord, en Colombie-Britannique. Après un passage difficile et risqué des Rocheuses, l’expédition atteignit Kamloops, et de là se rendit à Westminster et Victoria, de retour sur le continent pour visiter les mines d'or Cariboo.
