‎Née au Caire qu'elle quitte très jeune pour la France, la photographe Katia Boyadjian part à la recherche du pays de l'enfance, accompagnée du peintre Daniel Juré. Photos, encres, dessins, poèmes et lettres sont le fruit de cette double découverte/redécouverte. La réalité que présentent les auteurs est celle de l'Egypte au quotidien, une Egypte que l'art fait apparaître, à la fois transfigurée et au cur de sa vérité. There is also an edition with an identical titlepage but for the publisher's name and place which is here ''Lugduni Typis Johannis Pillehotte'' (see Kyushu Univ. Lib. Japan). ‎"10. Manuscript on paper, s.l. ( Louvain-Sint-Truiden) , s.d. (1830) , small in-4°, 18 x 15,5 cm, 275 unnumbered pages, bound in later half leather with boards covered with marbled paper. Written in a neat small hand on high quality paper. Signed at the end '' Jean Portmans de St. Trond - Limbourg''. The manuscript consists of three parts all pertaining to the philosophy and history of justice. The first part is written in Latin. (pp. 1 - 9) . The second part (commentary on Warnkönig) is written in French ( pp. 10 - 27). The third and largest part ( pp. 29-275) is also written in French. At several places prof. Warnkoenig has added commentary, mostly small remarks as at the end of Portmans' discussion of a study by Warnkönig : page 27 ''Optime ! -[signed] W. '' . A marginal note in the hand of Warnkönig on page 88 enables us to situate this university course at Louvain in 1830. He writes in the margin '' Voyez aujourd'hui l'ouvrage de M. Meyer de la codification en général et de celle de l'Angleterre en particulier, Amsterdam, 1830, 8°'' . This is proof that Warnkönig read this text in 1830/31 which is the period when he was teaching at Louvain State University. The student Jean Portmans belonged to a notable family of Sint Truiden. In 1844 he is mentionned as Justice of the peace officer in Sint-Truiden. Interesting university course copied by an obviously good student of the justice ideas of Leopold Warnkönig. In it are incorporated the ideas of Kant, Rousseau a.o. The genesis of this manuscript in 1830 , after a tumultuous period starting with the French Revolution, occurs at an important moment in European, and Belgian history. ‎ Parisiis 8 x 14,5 Apud Fridericum Leonardum 1670 In-12, reliure pleine basane de l'époque, dos à cinq nerfs orné de fleurons dorés, pièce de titre, titre doré, roulette dorée sur les coupes, tranches mouchetées de rouge, VI-357-54 pp. Deuxième édition, parisienne de cet ouvrage qui témoigne de la diffusion des idées de Grotius (1583-1645) et de son ouvrage "De jure belli ac pacis" (1625) dans les universités hollandaises au XVIIe siècle. Johannes Klenckius est un juriste hollandais qui a enseigné à l'Athenaeum d'Amsterdam. Le livre suit l'articulation en trois livres du traité de Grotius et correspondrait à l'enseignement délivré à ses étudiants. La dernière partie "de civitatum mutationibus" est inspiré des travaux du juriste hollandais Carel Quina (1646-1679). Solide exemplaire, reliure frottée, petite auréole en haut de la page de titre, quelques soulignements anciens, bon intérieur.(Bbis 3) ‎
