L'A. tratta non solo pittori veneziani ma anche quelli di terraferma.<br>"Opera tenuta in gran pregio potendosi chiamare questo autore il Vasari dei Veneziani" come cita il Cicognara,2359 - "Il Ridolfi e' la fonte piu' importante per la Venezia del Seicento, accanto a Marco Boschini".
