Due delle 13 opere pubblicate dal Meursius sull'antica Atene, con testi in latino e greco.<br>Il filologo olandese "Jan van Meurs, latinizzato in Meursius, (1579-1639), fu dapprima professore di greco e storia all'università di Leida, poi (dal 1625) professore di storia e politica a Soro in Danimarca (dove mori') e storiografo regio di Cristiano IV di Danimarca. I suoi numerosi studi filologici e antiquari furono in gran parte compresi nel "Thesaurus antiquitatum graecarum" del Gronovio e in quello del Grevio". Cosi' Enc.
