‎Hilde Metz experiments, investigates derived techniques, with the endless possibilities of textiles, now and then in the combination with other materials or shoes creations. Innovative, contemporary materials are to be explored, with their specific qualities they already possess as a starting point in her creative process.Since the mid-seventies, Hilde works with the medium textiles as the guiding principle to spatial integration, on the wall or as an independent element.? - She taught for many years in the Academy of Fine Arts and develops throughout her personal life and artistic career assignments for public and private architectural integration. She takes part in thematic exhibitions at home and abroad internationally and has own gallery for Contemporary Applied Arts in the historic city center of Antwerp. ? Sinds midden van de jaren zeventig bezig met textiel bedoeld als ruimtelijke integratie aan de wand of als zelfstandig element. Experimenteren met de mogelijkheden van textiel, vernieuwende hedendaagse materialen uitdiepen vertrekkend vanuit de specifieke eigenschappen. Afwijkende technieken onderzoeken. Ordenen en vooral reduceren tot heldere eenvoudige vormen. Een subtiele symbiose opbouwen door mathematisch ritme. Door kleurgebruik een sfeer bepalen.Een dialoog tussen structuur en ritme bereiken waarbij het repetitieve getransponeerd wordt tot een eigen vormentaal. Opdrachten in openbare gebouwen en particulier bezit. Tentoonstellingen in binnen-en buitenland. ‎

‎Unieke monografie met catalogue raisonne over het werk van beeldhouwster Hilde Van Sumere. Het beeldhouwwerk van Hilde Van Sumere, geboren te Beersel (B) in 1932, wordt getypeerd door een krachtige soberheid. Soms monumentaal, dan weer kleiner, bestaat het telkens uit composities met een heldere, geometrische vormgeving. Volgens auteur Roger Marijnissen streeft zij in haar beste werk ernaar de stilte te concretiseren. Haar niet-figuratieve objecten, vaak in marmer, soms in staal, polyester of plexiglas, geven blijk van een zeldzaam vakmanschap, een bijzondere toewijding en een uitgesproken visie. Sinds 1995 is Hilde Van Sumere lid van de Koninklijke Vlaamse Academie van Belgie, afdeling Wetenschappen en Kunsten. Ze verwierf internationale faam en kreeg tal van onderscheidingen. Haar werken maken deel uit van private en publieke collecties in binnen- en buitenland en sieren vaak bijzondere sites. Il est l'auteur d'un ouvrage sur Freud publié en 1974.Jean-Richard Bloch (1884-1947) était un écrivain, poète et journaliste français. Frère de Pierre Abraham, il créa, notamment aux côtés de Romain Rolland, la revue Europe. En 1937, il participa avec Louis Aragon à la fondation du quotidien communiste Ce soir.Hilde Adelberg fait probablement référence soit au médecin Jean-Marie Mac-Auliffe (1837-1908), auteur de l'ouvrage Cilaos, pittoresque et thermal, soit à son fils, le médecin Mac-Auliffe (1870-1927) qui prit une part active aux soins lors de l'épidémie de grippe espagnole en 1918.‎
