Un volume in 4°(21, 5 x 28 cm), relié, cartonnage toilé de couleur bleu-clair, couvert d’une jaquette, 219 pp. Avec un Avant-propos de John Rewald non paginé (5 pages) puis 219 pages de Jacques SALOMON ainsi composées: Introduction, Etude sur l’oeuvre, Album iconographique, Dates de la vie de VUILLARD, Principales expositions, Ouvrages consacrés à VUILLARD, Articles consacrés à VUILLARD, Ouvrages et articles généraux intéressant VUILLARD, Table des reproductions (avec nature, dimensions et localisation de chaque oeuvre). Ces dernières sont au nombre de 144 illustrations, dont 71 en quadrichromie, contrecollées, et 73 en noir et blanc (héliogravures).Il s'agit d'un ouvrage remarquable sur un grand peintre (1868-1940) insuffisamment connu. Edition originale, avec quelques traces très discrètes de manipulations. Etat malgré tout très bon. ENVOI de l’auteur à ANDRE MALRAUX.
