Coins et coiffes émoussés. Charnières frottées. Ce petit répertoire de citations classiques destiné aux jeunes poètes présentait "la quintessence et le suc des anciens Poëtes Latins", traduits ou paraphrasés en français par La Fontaine, Boileau, Gresset, Rousseau ou encore Voltaire. Ces citations sont regroupées par thèmes, parmi lesquels: "L'innocence de la vie champêtre et des premiers hommes", "Vicissitudes des choses humaines", "La femme", "Des vices et des crimes", "Des domestiques", etc. L'Abbé Berthelin était lexicographe et professeur de Latin à l'Ecole Militaire de Paris. Rousseurs. Papier un peu bruni. Bon exemplaire.
