Recueil, illustré de gravures sur cuivre et de vignettes sur bois, des poèmes de Thomas Moore (Dublin, 1779 - Wiltshire, 1852). Les "Mélodies irlandaises" (1807-1834) furent saluées par Walter Scott et Byron. Les poèmes et les chansons rêveuses de Thomas Moore connurent un grand succès populaire et soutinrent à Londres la cause irlandaise. On retrouve dans notre édition l'histoire romancée de "Lala-Rookh", princesse orientale.
