Très beau livre, bien documenté, sur la periode faste de l'histoire des paquebots de luxe. Une attention speciale est apportee a l'architecture interieure des transatlantiques. — "Ce livre s’adresse tout autant à l'architecte, au décorateur, au collectionneur d'affiches, et à l'amateur d'histoire. La saga de ces incroyables palais flottants qui marquèrent l'apogée et tout autant la décadence de toute une époque, ne peut-être ici mieux racontée, ni mieux illustrée. Entre l'affiche qui invite aux grands voyages et la splendeur outrancière des vastes salons de la Cunard ou de la French Line, aucune duperie publicitaire : du Luxus allemand à l'Empress of Britain canadien dont la blancheur immaculée narguait la grisaille du port de Montréal, tout y est comme si vous y étiez, pour partager en tournant ces pages ce qui constitue, en passant, la fin grandiose de la Révolution industrielle.
