Retirage de la traduction de France-Marie Watkins-Roucayrol (de 1965), de "Little big man", roman publié en 1964 par l'écrivain états-unien Thomas BERGER (1924-2014): où un centenaire raconte sa vie mouvementée, de son enfance chez les Cheyennes à leur massacre par Custer à Wahista River en 1868 et à la bataille de Little Big Horn en 1876 dont il se présente comme le seul survivant... Un récit truculent et picaresque qui présente avec humour le quotidien et les traditions d'une tribu cheyenne, et une nouvelle vision de lépopée du Far West. Retirage à l'occasion du fameux film "Little big man", son adaptation par Arthur Penn en 1970.
