Each image is 92 x 129 mm, mounted within a two tone printed border. Most photographs have a caption in the negative and in the right hand lower corner the initials P.L. ( P. Loubère ?). Bound in publisher's green cloth with title stamped in gilt on front cover. Binding lightly rubbed and gilt title faded. Last fly leaf missing. Still a fine and complete copy of an album which documented the ruins of Paris after the Commune uprising , with the sometimes lacking portrait collection of figures which played a role in the uprising - 9 thumbnail portraits - 8 men arranged around one woman Among the men we recognise Louis Charles Delescluze.
