Le destin hors-norme de Carl Heil qui, ayant fui le nazisme en 1933, devint speaker à la radiodiffusion française entre 1937 et 1939. Interné en 1940 au titre de citoyen d'un Etat ennemi, il est arrêté par les Allemands en 1943, envoyé à Buchenwald, d'où il réchappera. Il réintègre, après la guerre, la radiodiffusion française.
