La version française du texte est accompagnée de courtes pensées d'Hubert Damisch reproduites sous forme manuscrite dans les marges: Toute chose est un geste - La poésie est l'arc de la violence... L'édition est illustrée par Matta d'un grand dessin réparti au bas de toutes les pages et reproduit au trait. Tirage limité à 900 exemplaires numérotés. Un des 200 exemplaires hors commerce sur papier Printoser demi-mat, comportant (comme les 100 premiers exemplaires sur vélin de Rives) une eau forte originale en couleurs montée sous la forme d'une gravure-cube.
