A superb volume presenting the fabulous collection of Sir C.P. Chater, consisting mostly of oil paintings, water-colours, sketches, prints, most of which are based on landscape scenes of the South China Treaty ports in the 18th and 19th centuries and on British activities in China. The collection was partly destroyed during WWII. The remaining paintings are now in Hong Kong Museum.

Interiors in excellent condition. Housed in an olive green cream and black patterned folding paper covered portfolio with 3 ties at edges. A very good copy. Very heavy volume, extra-postage required. The six volumes without the portfolio are sold 320 euros.
